Another benefit to pre-hung commercial grade doors is that since they are pre-assembled, you know they will be weather-tight and resistant to the elements. If ease of installation is what you need, a pre-hung door may do the trick.
A knocked down door can also be weather resistant, but since you must assemble the door yourself, it can be hit or miss without the right measurements. A knocked down door is one that can be scaled to just about any opening, and comes in pieces for on-site installation. These commercial grade doors may require a little more work on the installation side, but their customizable nature makes them a perfect fit for any existing wall without a preset space for a door.
